Oh I wasn't aware we were dealing with a Dell.

In that case please provide me with the service tag number which would be affixed to your unit usually at the back.

It says "service tag" and is a series of letters and numbers.

Your model number would perhaps help me as well and then I'll do my best to guide you to your drivers.

It may take a minute or two to load but here you go.

The drivers are all for your machine and I'd say most important obviously are the broadcom network ones however it is not a bad idea to use the latest available ones for other items as well.

The page for your computer and all the drivers that go with that motherboard can be found HERE

For what it's worth when you own a DELL that service tag number is your friend.

All you ever need to do is go to DELL UK then on their home page in the upper right corner click on support and in the next window choose "drivers and downloads" after which it will ask you in the next window to pick your model or search by "service tag".

Simply use the service tag option and enter your numbers after which it will show you any drivers that pertain to your configuration.

It's quite handy really.

That's everything installed, thanks LF. I'm still stuck with my original problem of not being able to connect to my wireless netowrk though

Well that part is not so good but hang in there I thought I'd eliminate the obvious first and if need be I'll refer this thread to one of the network gurus so hang in there.

Did you check in device manager to see if those yellow question marks are gone now?

Also I need to know if you installed all those drivers or just the network one?

I noticed right above the network one they also offered a diagnostic utility which might be of some use.

See when you reformat you wiped the slate clean so to speak and every driver that machine had when it was new needs to be installed again.

They'll work after a reformat but with limited functionality if items are missing.

Chipset drivers are important too if you didn't do those.

Another important tip is on that same Dell page where the drivers are if you look at the left side of the listed item opposite the download link you can click on the item and it will open a window with more info pertaining to that driver as well as installation instructions.

It's always good to review those as well since sometimes things need to be done in a certain sequence.
