Had to wipe pc clean n reformat n reinstall windows xp. Problem is now i can't connect wirelessly. Keep getting msg wireless radio adapter needs to be turned on. PC is a dell dimension 2400 desktop pc. Ran the linksys disk that came with the wireless usb adapter. Still nothing. wireless worked before. Have 2 usb adapters tried them both thinking one might be bad but still won t work. Need help fast so the kids can get back online...

do you have a wireless card control panel that you can get in to?

do you mean under control panel-network connections-properties. wireless adpater is a linksys usb adapter speed booster model # wusb54gcs

Can you please try the following if you haven't already.

Click Start > Control Panel > Network Connections
Right click your Wireless Connection > Click Repair

Also make sure the Wireless Zero Configuration Service is running. To do this:
Click Start > Run
type: services.msc
Click OK
Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration > check whether it's status says Started and it's it set to Automatic. If it's not Started - Double click it.
Make sure Startup Type is set to Automatic > then click Start > Click Apply > Click OK

See if you are able to connect wirelessly now. If you still have problems can you please let us know the exact error message you are receiving in your next post.
