Hello juujuu,

If your using the Windows wireless to connect to the router, you will see (if his/her router is not hidden) it appear in the list of connections:

^ You see this network has security enabled. When you press [Connect], you will be asked for the WEP key you listed above.

If you do not see the router in this list, then check to see if the router is broadcasting it's SSID from the router admin pages. Signal strength is also a factor here, so even if the signal does reach you, ensure that the strength is at least 2 (sometimes 3) bars.

to madmonkey: yes man I am using windows wireless to connect and i can see his router on the list and I press connect and it doesnt ask me WEP key becouse connection is not protected.

After I press connect it "acquiring network address" and after that it shows message "limited or not connectivity".I also try put up manual ip addres, i put 192.168.1.2 ip becouse 192.168.1.1 is ip from router and after that it does not show message "limited or not connectivity" but it cant open address in internet explorer v.6 only can open 192.168.1.1.

after i open that address and logg in it shows me details:

OK, only you listed a WEP key in post #21? So it has no Security?

In the same window, after you have pressed [Connect], does it actually show that you are connected, or does it offer the [Connect] button again? You should be connected if you can access the router page.

Can we also check your manual settings too.
- Go to Start, Run, and type in cmd.
- From the command window, type in ipconfig /all
- Right click on the titlebar, and go to Edit followed by Select All
- Right click again, and go to Edit followed by Copy
- Paste the results back here.

After i press connect is says "You are connecting to the unsecured network "ZyXEL". Information sent over this network is not encrypted and might be visible to other people, I press Connect anyway and after that happens like i told you before.

And i can access to the router only when i type ip adress manully but now i set to automatically.

Hey juujuu,

Manual settings I was looking for.. can you enter your manual settings, and then do another ipconfig? I don't think DHCP is configured correctly on the router, which is why you are have an APIPA (169.254.x.x) address instead. I would use 192.168.0.120 for an IP address also for your local PC, as 2 may have already been assigned to another PC.
