Wireless Help - connect a router to wlan posted in the Web & Networking forums; Hi
If I have a wireless network, can I connect a wireless router to it and through that use a Ethernet cable to connect to a cumputer....
Im not an expert on networking, but Im fairly sure this is not possible. I would have to ask a few people and do some digging around on google. As far as I know, routers are not capable of connecting to one another through a wireless network. I may be mistaken though.

Re: connect a router to wlan
if your modem is also the router this or can be directly connected to the router and the router has ethernet ports then it will be possible as the router becomes the wireless access point for the rest of the network. I don't think you can use a router like a wireless dongle though, if that's what you want to do.
