The replacement antenna should be a "High Gain" one, for example: http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=209442&om_keycode=92

I'm 99% sure that the Rangebooster router is removable, but again, double check with Circuit City before you buy. This way, if it turns up with a fixed one, or if they send you an old one from stock, at least you can send it back and say "you told me it was removable".

Otherwise, go for the HSB2 booster provided on the previous thread. Keep in mind that signal quality is also an important factor. Even if you extend your signal, you will need to ensure that the signal strength is good (pref 3 bars minimum).

See, the problem is that my router that I have now "Netgear WGR614 v9" doesn't have a removable antenna, so I can not increase my range (that is what I'm after, not speed). So I need to buy something other than an antenna or a totally different router, and there I want to change the antenna to something that has a STRONGER (not faster) signal strength.

The antenna is exactly what I need though!!

Bought everything you told me to!! D-Link router And the bigger/better antenna. Will pick up the router today, and the antenna will be shipped to me free of charge. Thank you. Will let you know how it all worked out. Thanks again
