Just built this PC. Running Windows Vista Home Premium and I can't seem to get a decent internet speed, I'm getting around 1-2Mbps. I'm using a D-Link Extreme N wireless adapter connected to an Apple Airport. My laptop, Windows XP, is getting great internet, 9-10Mbps. I have run virus searches and my system is clean. I ran a speed test in safe mode and got a faster internet, 5-6Mbps, but still not the full 10Mbps i should be getting. No clue what's wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your net is getting full speed once you loged in safemode?
I think something is hanging with the IE. Ok, Why should not your try installing a different browser? Install the free & open source Firefox browser.
Download . check the difference.

Hello,you installed Vista,have you updated ALL drivers in device manager?

Try updating drivers and fully update Vista via Microsoft update.

Did you update BIOS?

You need your latest chipset update.

Updated the BIOS and things seem to be in working order. Hopefully that fixed the problem. Thanks for the help
