Default Problems with my wireless router

Hi guys,

A few minutes ago I reset my wireless router (NETGEAR WGT624v3) after frustration with Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I can connect to the internet fine but now I cannot cannot access the router management page from my computer (the router is attached to the downstairs computer). I've enabled remote management and all that but it keeps coming up with "THEBEAGLEYSCOMPUTER is managing this device" (the one downstairs).

Anyone here who is network savvy care to help me with this, please?

Thanks,
Bikkit

This usually occurs because someone is logged into the router, in this case THEBEAGLEYSCOMPUTER" and did not log out properly (by clicking Log Out). Try this first and if that doesn't work then try unplugging the router and plugging it back in after about 30 seconds.

Thank very much, it worked ^_^

This problem has been officially solved.

What system are you using for it? Please also post a better description of the problems with playing online.

Gah, it's all to do with the wretched error code 8624. I've been reading online and it's all down to the wii being over protective (NAT 3) and it involves a lot of port forwarding. I think I've got mine down but the problem is other people who haven't.

Yeah. An awesome site for dealing with portforwarding is http://portforwarding.com.

I will mark this as Fixed then.

Adam
