Speedstream 4200 + D-Link Wireless + PS 3 = HEADACHE!
Ok guys, I've searched all over the internet and on this site as well and I just can't seem to get this figured out. I have a Speedstream 4200 DSL modem/router connected to my computer via ethernet. I then have a D-Link WBR-1310 wireless access point that I'm using to connect my PlayStation 3 to my internet connection. My main problem is with the PlayStation 3. In order to play games over the internet properly, I need to have a NAT Type 2 and I can only get NAT Type 3. I've read that I need to open ports on the wireless router. I've read that I can use DMZ on the wireless router. Then I read that I may need to open ports on the DSL modem. I also read that I need to bridge the modem. I successfully bridged the modem but then I can't get an internet connection. I'm certain that the trouble is that I don't have a full understanding of what I'm doing or that I'm doing something wrong so I decided to come here for help. If anybody can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
