Hi everybody. I have a couple of questions but first I need to give you some info:
I currently have one computer (Vista home basic) with a wired connection (through Virgin.net) to the net via a Speedtouch 330 USB ADSL modem. I'm getting a new flatmate soon with another PC (XP, package currently unknown) that will also need access to the net.
I happen to have a NETGEAR DG834Gv3 ADSL modem router and my flatmate already has a NETGEAR wireless USB adaptor WG 111v2 for their PC as that is what they used to connect to the net at home. Unfortunately, I have no documentation or installation CD (or adaptor, even) for the NETGEAR router which I got second hand.
What I would like to do is attach the router to my Vista PC with wires and have the XP connect wirelessly with the WG 111v2.
OK, here's the questions. Sorry if some of them are shockingly ignorant

:
1- Are there likely to be any complications due to the router having been used before on another machine?
2-I noticed that I need to install new drivers to make the router Vista compatible, so do I connect the router then install drivers or vice versa?
3-Will I need to uninstall programs related to the ADSL USB modem I'm currently using before installing the router?
4-Does the PC attached to the router have to be on for the other PC to be able to connect to the net or is the router just on all the time wether the PC is on or not?
5-Do I need any info from my ISP?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
