Default Wireless access - intermittant failure

I am using a Linksys N wireless router to connect my desktop and my wife's laptop and printer. For the last six months, everything has worked smoothly with no connection problems. Over the last few days, the connection disappears. On my desktop, the internet connection status shows I am connected, but I can't access email or the internet. For a "cure", I have shut off my wireless router and started it again. Seems to fix the problem (until the next time a few hours later). Any suggestions about what is causing this or how I could diagnose the problem. The desktop computer runs on Windows XP.

Hey Artlayton,

I'm assuming that the other PC works fine whilst your experiencing these problems (to suggest it's not the actual router)? If so, can you try something different for me, go to Control Panel, Network Connections, right click and Disable your Local Area and Wireless connections, and then right click and Enable them again to see if this cures it?

Also, are you running any other internet based software apart from e-mail and internet? How is your signal strength during these problems?

Will try that. No other software uses internet.
