It means your network is secured and you need to get your security code/key from the router to properly connect to it... I think its WEP key?
Check if your wireless router has enabled mac address filtering. If so, you need to add your computer's mac address to the router.
set the wired LAN to obtain
IP/DNS addresses automatically.

or type in web page 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.2
user name/password.
Entering the IP address 192.168.0.1 into a web browser opens the router's "Configuration" pages, it doesn't connect you to the ISP. You need to configure the built-in modem with the settings for your ISP so that, as soon as the router is powered on it will automatically connect to the internet.

Any computers connected to the router will then have internet access over the Local Area Network. The computers must not try to establish an internet connection - that is now the router's function - and you may have to uninstall any ISP connection software (USB modem?) to prevent it from conflicting with your LAN internet access.

Check computer name is correct or network name

If your ISP is BT or AOL you need the WEP key

Try this start /all programs / accessories/command prompt
Type in IPCONFIG/ALL
You should see very similar to this:-
Description…………………….the name of YOUR ETHERNET ADAPTOR
Physical Address………………00-11-09-f0-2d-d1
Dhcp Enabled…………………..Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled….....Yes
I P Address……………….……..192.168.0.2
Subnet Mask…………………….255.255.255.0
Default Gateway………………...192.168.0.1
DNS Server……………………...192.168.0.1
Lease Obtained……………………
Lease Expires……………………..
IF so 192.168.0.1 is the IP address of your router, and typing this in the address bar of your browser should enable you access to your routers configuration.
Note this does not connect you to the internet it allows you to configure the router to connect to the net.
When you have configured the router click on your web browser it will connect to the net .
Temporarily turn off your firewall.
Remove any dial up connections.
If typing 192.168.0.1 into your web browsers address bar does not work then it would appear your router has a problem.

try the reset button
