Wireless Help - [Fixed] How Do I choose the Key Index for WEP on Vista. posted in the Web & Networking forums; Netgear WGR614 v4 No its not incorrect, I've checked it. but here is what my settings look like. Just in case Vista has other default settings I can change....

No its not incorrect, I've checked it. but here is what my settings look like. Just in case Vista has other default settings I can change.

Generate a new key/passphrase then highlight and copy key 1. Next go to the wireless connection settings on the PC and when prompted for the key, paste it in.

which PC the XP or the Vista? because at the moment I am on the XP which is the Main computer WIRED to the router.

You need to do that on the PC which you need to connect wirelessly. I take it that PC can actually see the wireless LAN?

Yes the Vista PC that I'm trying to get wireless on, Yes it can see the LAN SSID.

Ok, that worked. Thread Resolved. Thanks Hengis. Now I just to tell everyone who uses the wireless connection in my house that the WEP key has been changed.
