Default How to connect

First, let me apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge when it comes to this subject. I guess I wouldn't be here if I knew more.

Anyhoo, my question is this.. I have a Nintendo Wii that connects to the internet through a wireless access point, I beleive that's what it is. Linksys is the one through which it connects. No problems there. I also have a laptop that uses a D-Link Airplus wireless card to connect the same way. Again, no problem there. I have problems with the laptop in general so I bought, for the desktop PC, a Linksys wireless-G to connect the same way as the others. It's installed correctly but isn't detecting the Linksys wireless access point the others are. Same room and I've tried several antenna positions. Am I out of luck with the desktop? Is there a way to perhaps use the Wii or laptop connection for the PC? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey there and welcome to PCHF,

Are you using the linksys network program? (It's pretty crappy from what I've experienced). I suggest shutting it down if you are (right click and exit), and going to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > scroll to Wireless Zero Configurator and right-click it and hit start, a taskbar icon should pop up for the wireless
