Default Connection problems with games

I recently bought an MSI PC60G wireless network card to replace a dead one. The connection is great and I get wonderful download rates, but when I run an online game, such as World of Warcraft, my in-game latency will jump up to a steady 500-800 ms. I cannot for the life of me figure out why it's doing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

Are you connecting to distant servers or "local" ones?

I'm not exactly sure, if you mean servers on WoW, I play on a pacific server and an east coast server.

Did you try a ping test on one of those server addresses whilst you are in Windows (not from WOW)?
