Default [Answered] better range

I'm using a linksys wrt54g router. For the most part it works good. I have it wired to my desktop and my daughter has a laptop which she mostly uses in her room, on the other side of the house. The connection is there but poor. In the beginning it seem good. I'm thinking of getting another router, one with better range. Newegg has a Linksys wrt150n, what about this one or something else?? Heya Lenstan,

Wireless N will give you better coverage. You won't get any better speed because the link will still be G, but you will still get the expanded range. Linksys is a good brand and I would definitely recommend going with an N router in your situation.

Here is a good article - IEEE 802.11 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hope that helps!
