Default [Resolved] Printing thru a wireless connection

I have set up a wireless network in my home. My desktop PC is connected to a Linksys wireless router which is connected to a cable modem. My laptop is connected to the internet thru this network using a wireless card. My desktop PC is connected by USB to an HP printer. How do I configure my laptop (or printer) so I can send documents to the printer via my wireless connection?

Hello Artlayton,

On your desktop click Start then Settings.. Click on Printers then right click on your default printer. In your case the HP. Then Properties. Now find the Sharing tab in the dialoge box. Under Sharing click the Shared As radio button. Then reboot. These instructions are for Win 2000 but the idea is the same for other OSes. You nees to set up Printer Sharing on the PC with the Printer...

Good Luck
LC

Solved my problem. First I set up my desktop to connect to the printer thru the ethernet line rather than USB cable. Then I installed printer driver on desktop and selected "network" connection rather than USB. Laptop searched for printer and found it and made a connection.
