Question [Answered] I need wireless on my new laptop

I recently bought an HP dv4000 laptop and it doesn't have wireless internet on it. I ebayed "dv4000 wireless" and it came up with some Intel PCI card, I messaged the people and asked if that's what I needed, and they told me I need some antenna thing too. What all do I need to get wireless on my laptop? Is it possible for me to install myself?

Hi there and welcome to PC Help Forum

We can certainly give you an idea as to what to purchase for the laptop itself but what other network equipment are you going to connect to (wirelessly)?

so all I need to do is buy that and plug it in and it's ready to go? I don't have to buy any cards or anything?

No, this device (or similar) will plug directly into your laptop and connect wirelessly with any wireless network in range.
