Default [Conversation] Linksys WRT300N - my experience in setup and use

Tuesday I purchased a Linksys WRT300N wireless router for use on a property with two homes. My goal was to provide coverage for both houses, if possible. The router came with a CD with exact instructions for setup. I followed the directions exactly and it worked perfectly from the first moment. And its range was great enough to be able to connect a laptop in another house 100 feet away.

Nice to know, the WRT series so far (as far as I know) have all been pretty solid so this is nice to hear.

Having support for 802.11n is also nice but most of the devices I have are b/g so it will be a while before I upgrade.

You set up some security on that I hope ? No offense--
Otherwise people can access your connection/files from nearby.

Heh, I'm not too sure about the newer D-Link stuff but I have an old 802.11b router (the DI-514 IIRC) and it makes babies cry :P
