I have a Belkin router and a Belkin wireless card in my PC, but I have had the same problem with previous wireless cards also. Basically, my computer will stay connected to the internet for varying amounts of time with the signal at maximum. After a while (the time varies) the connection will drop out. After this, I am unable to detect any wireless networks (even those of people in the other houses around my home) unless I disable and then re-enable the wireless card in Control Panel (I use Windows Vista).
This problem has caused me trouble for a considerable time, and I have tried various methods such as applying signal boosting antennae to my card to try and keep the signal constant but to no avail. Any help would be wonderful!
Thank you!
