Exclamation [Resolved] Intel Wireless Pro Driver Problem

Ok, so heres the story. I just got a new Alienware laptop that came with Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit. When i first turned it on and gt it running, the wireless worked perfectly. Just wanting to customize it and partition it the way i preferred, i got rid of vista and switched my operating system to Linux. I have a Zune and a few other things that werent very compatibel with Linux so i decided I would just go ahead and run vista. I re-installed Vista and got rid of Linux. I then re-installed all of the drivers on the disks that came with the computer, but my wireless still wouldnt pick up my router. On the driver disk that came with the computer, it says "Intel Wireless Pro Driver" and i hit it and it says "please wait while we configure your computer to install" and then it just goes away and doesnt install any farther. Ive tried this many many times but it didnt work so i figured i would just plug the ethernet manually into my laptop and search the internet for the driver. The ethernet driver must have installed because it works perfectly. So i got on the internet and tried to look up the driver on intel.com and i found it but it still came up with errors and such. Then microsoft came up and said "you have uninstalled hardware on this computer, please insert the driver disk or we can search for the driver on the internet". So i tried both and niether worked. When I tried the disk it said that no drivers for that were on the disk and when i tried the internet it said it couldnt find any drivers for it. I then went into my Device Manager and under "other" it showed my Intel Wireless Pro hardware, but it was unnamed and said that there was a malfunction with the driver and that i should update it. I tried updating it from there and it still didnt work. Ive updated windows and done just about everything I can think of, believe me. If anyone has any suggestions please help. Thank you.

Hi Ksince,
Welcome to The PCHF!

I think that the best place for you to go for the drivers are here, it's the alienware site and they really should know or be able to provide the right drivers for you.
let us know how you do

WOW, thank you soo much for doing that. I realy really appreciate it and I feel bad to say this now, but I fixed it myself. For some reason the setup for the driver that I downloaded off of Alienware was just not working correctly and i really dont understand, I just went back to the exact same link for the exact same driver and downloaded it again and ran it again just like before, and it installed it. It really suprised me. I mean, you saw the picutures, it REALLY wansnt recognizing my hardware. I just dont know....
But thank you for you help and support.
Computers really can be just plain weird.
