I re- formatted my toshiba laptop using the enclosed recovery cd.

When xp was brough back up everything to do with wireless connection vanished from everywhere. I had been connecting to my wireless hub only a day ago with no bother.

I called Toshiba who said re install wirelss driver from their website. I did and still no change. It seems like some drivers from the windows installation itself are gone.

I check device manager and their is a yellow explamation mark next to "Other devices"- and under that "network controller" seems that make all the wireless work in windows.

Can I get that missing driver from somewhere? Tryed updated all the latest from windows update but the driver is still missing and needs replacing. Toshiba did not really care as they just said use ther driver which I did and it did not change anything in decice manager.

Was working fine yesterday and windows picked up the signal fine, now I cant find anything on windows that even says wireless is possible.

Many thanks for any suggestions before another long expensive call to customer support muppets in india!

hi Im using windows XP. I have and still are using a netopia wireless modem. ( im actally using it now on my other laptop!)

I can use the laptop with direct connection and my other pcs wirless so I know its a Windows driver isse and not the modem or signal

sorted.! went to intel.com and tryed their driver. All kicked in straight away
!!
