First, suggest you connect a phone line directly into your PC.
If that works, then you know the problem is router related.
If that doesn't work, then you know you have a problem with your computer.

What is the make/model of your router?
What Operating system are you using? ( XP PRo? Vista Home Premium? )
The more information you provide the better someone can help you.

XP Pro or XP Basic?

Did you isolate the problem? Is the problem in your router or your computer?

I repeat, what is your operating system XP Pro or XP Basic?

There are no what if's. If you please answer our questions and observe/report what happens, we might just get you up and running again.

Thanks...
