Default Wireless Problems!

Hello,It's me again.

Well as you can see I have got this Balance Digital Laptop up and going. Just a recap on what the problem was before:
I was the one that needed help getting my son's laptop formattedso that I could install WindowsXP after he crashed it. Well after all your help here, we came to the conclusion that my Windows XP cd was bad. My son bought a new copy, and now it istalled fine.

My problem now is that it is not detecting the wireless adapter. I get an(!) next to the:
IEEE 802.11b PRISM3 USB. And when I try to update the driver I get the following message:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

I downloaded all of the drivers available for this laptop from Balance Digital Technology
Laptop Model CN4301

When I click on the start button, there is no option of network or Connect to, to choice from. Its like it is not even installed.

I have a WESTELL VersaLink Wireless Network Model 327W thru Verizon.

What do I do now?

Welcome back honey, glad to see you're up and running with your son's laptop

Everything I'm seeing about that wireless card points to Linux problems...but you've got Windows, not Linux.

This is built-in wireless card correct?
