Default Clueless.

I'm having a major problem getting my wireless to work.

Basically, I have the following:

- Philips Wireless Router SNB6500
- Ethernet cable
- Speedtouch 330 ADSL modem (USB connection)
- Phone line
- Internet line
- Splitter

The way it says in the booklet to set it up results in me not being able to access the internet at all. As soon as I take the internet line out of the Sppedtouch 330 ADSL modem and put it into the router, I cannot connect to the internet.

I want to get the internet working on my laptop that I've just bought and if I can't get it working then it was pretty pointless buying the laptop in the first place. Can anyone help?

Hello Jack,

Welcome to PCHF.

Can you connect to the internet via ethernet cable? And have you tried disabling any security on the router to see if you can connect?

Hey JackWB, welcome to PCHF .

Try updating your firmware. Apparently there is a bug in this router that is fixed with a firmware upgrade.

EDIT: That update can be found here
