Hmmmmm, I'm wondering if the 98SE isn't relevant to the situation. I'm going to PM our resident Networking Guru. He has a lot more experience than I do, and may have a quick fix. He's not online at the mo, but he is really good at checking threads that I send to him and I know that he will get back to you as soon as possible.

A question please. Did you setup the tcp/ip protocol in your networking setup? Make sure you have obtain ip automaticly checked. Win98se doesn't install networking when you install the OS. You have to make it sometimes...

I thought I recalled 98 having some specific idiosycracies regarding networking, but is has been far too long for me to trust my instructions. I have sent a request to our dear MadMonkey, and am in hopes that the lure of bananas will draw him nigh. (In other words, I'm sure he'll be along directly )

I figured it out

A pretty stupid mistake, I miss typed the key for WEP key. Once i saw my mistake i retyped it in and it works.

Nothing stupid there...It was an honest mistake. One I have made many times.

The Lady will be pleased now that she does not have to disturb the MadMonkey. He does get a bit testy when he doesn't get enought sleep or the bananas are over ripe..
