Default Wireless connection problem??

hi,

I have been using a Belkin wireless router for about a year and had no problems with it until about a 2 months a go, it starts droppin the connection after about 5 mins of use each time i try to connect to the internet using my lap top.
I did a google search on the model and seen that many other people have the same problem.
I updated the firmware but still it loses connection. is there anyway to fix this problem or will i have to buy a new router etc?

Setup

router = Belkin Wireless g router 802.11g 54 mbps, model F5D7230 ver 4000uk

laptop wireless connection = Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter 802.11g 54 mbps, model F5D7050 ver 2001uk

Thanks

Hi efc84,

This could be due to interference. Please look in the manual for your router and access the router configuration page normally in address bar type something like: 192.168.1.1 but look in manual to check.

Then find the wireless settings and change the channel.

Chris

That wouldn't normally change the channel automatically. Try changing channels a few times.
