it's most likely a setting somewhere, yes. Those things come with so many options it's fairly easy to get confused, which is where you are right now. I am pretty sure you are entering the wrong info in the right box, or vice versa, as they wouldn't create a box too short to contain the info it was supposed to hold. Which is why at this point it would probably be easiest for you to contact linksys and have them walk you through it as you are sitting at the machine and can do what they tell you to do......
