Default Wireless Internet Help!

Hi guys. So I got a new Broadband package recently, and the router I was supplied with is wireless compatible. I think it's a Netgear DG834GT Super Wireless ADSL Router. I am connecting to the internet through this, but my PC is NOT wireless compatible, so obviously I am using the Ethernet cable. Now heres the problem....

My sister recently brought a new laptop and it is wirless compatible. So the idea was that she would share my internet connection wirelessly, whilst I used my Ethernet port since my computer isn't wirless. Now her laptop is only in the room next door to mine so I presumed we wouldn't encounter too many problems with the signal, however for some reason, she seems to be losing her connection every now and again. She'll be surfing, downloading music without a problem and suddenly it just cuts out. Her signal strength indicates that it is infact very good, but she can't access internet pages. Now I beleive that this is something to do with mine or her's settings being configured incorrectly, or it could just be a faulty laptop or router. I'm hoping it's not the latter.

I think she get's a DNS error as you normally do when there's an internet connection issue. However I don't understand why this keeps on happening, and why her signal indicates that it's at full strength. Does anyone have any idea's? I'd be very gratefull if someone came up with the solution for me. She's been driving me bonkers, and borrowing my router in the evenings so I can't access the internet!

BTW, I am using Linux, and my sister is on Windows XP. However this problem has been occuring before I made the Linux switch. Please help before I murder my sister! Any help as always is appreciated.

PS: I can't seem to access my Routers setting page. i.e, when i try to log on at http://192.168.0.1/ I am asked for a username and password. The default is Admin, Password, but when I try to log on, it won't let me. No matter what combination I use. I've tried the help on Netgear's site, but everything has failed so far. Even completely resetting the router. So that's another unfortunate problem.
