Default [Resolved] computer almost freezes

1st hi to all, love your fourm. I like reading trouble shooting ques and answer's. well now my turn. just installed a d-link airplus g ( 802.11g/2.4ghz wireless router) into main computer which is wired in. 2nd machine has win xp pro, amd 700 mhz 256 ram. I installed a dwl-g510 airplus g 802.11g/2.4ghz wireless pci card. the problem that I am having is it slows my wireless machine down to a crawl almost freezes it. and I don't mean when surfing. just double clicking on my computer, takes 15 mins to open. and when I disable the card everything works normal. D-link site sucks for info that relates to my problem.
only thing I found to try was putting card into different slot as it might be sharing resoures or something like that. that did not solve my problem.
thanks

Are you able to try the card in another PC to check whether it's your card or something with your PC (or the combination of your PC and your card).

thanks Bluefish for the help. weird thing started comp and enabled card . machine worked great not slow and have internet. played for awhile all good. thought I would shut down and restarted it to see what happens. loaded up but my mouse was froze.
had to push power button to rebooted and all works now, figure that one out. let you know if all runs after a few reboots.
