Well -- I don't know about slow for text... my Canon I860 prints @ up to 23 Pages-per-minute in text with excellent photo quality and individual ink tanks. That's why I bought it. Blows my old HP away afa cost-to-operate and speed.:azn:

That's because they've made improvements to the series since the 960. That one was noted for particularly slow text printing. Good to know they've improved on that.
