Default MSN Messenger crash

Hi everyone,

I have a logitech quickcam communicate stx that i use with MSN messenger. It just stopped working recently, and I've been trying extremely hard to fix it with no results. It just stopped working. I didn't update anything or touch any settings or anything, it just stopped and crashes msn messenger every time i try to send video. No error message, just wants to send an error report to windows. it also doesn't come up with any help, just sends the report and is done.

some stats:

windows xp media center edition
SP1
msn messenger 7.5
updated video drivers
updated webcam drivers
no spyware or viruses detected

Does the webcam work okay by itself? What does it say if you go to:-
control panel > scanners and cameras > view device properties > test camera or scanner?

The webcam works just awesome by itself; does everything it's supposed to. So I'm lead to believe it's not a driver issue, but the last time this happened, it fixed itself after a format, and really, I don't want to do that right now. Any suggestions?
