Default D-Link Airplus G+ Wireless Card Problems

OK then here goes. I put a wireless card in my PC a few weeks ago because I thought I may be able to use my nieghbours connection but ive never been able to find any networks. Then today I put my flatmates hard drive (IDE) in my PC next to my 2 SATA HDD because I wanted to copy a load of files off it.
So I boot up my machine with all 3 hards drives in and as soon I get to the desktop I get a msg in the corner "wireless network(s) found, click for more details". It turns out that im sat in the middle of 3 wireless networks called Unishef, guest and eduroam. But if I tried to connect or view the connections then the 3rd hard drdive would disappear from my computer.
What could be on my friends HDD that is causing this and why cant I see these networks anyway?
Im using Windows XP Pro and a D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G+ DWL-G520+ network adapter.
Please Help. Thank You.

Hya Bjb.

First things first , we cant support or help you with connecting to neighbours networks , that would be ilegal.

That said , i dont have a clue as to why you can only pick up those networks with the third HD in there , and the third HD dissapears when you try to connect.. I cant think of anything that could be on the third HD that could possibly cause this..
