Ok so i got a new laptop for xmas and im connecting it to a wireless router.
Everything went fine untill it asked me for my isp username and password. I have no clue what it is..on my main computer we are hooked up to btbroadband but we dont have to log in or anything. well anyways im really comfused im not that technologically minded so please could i have some help.Thanks

If it is prompting you to enter a username and a password, it is attempting to dial up to an ISP. To detect the network, go to Start -> My Computer and on the left-hand bar click "My Network Places". Click "View Network Connections" on the left-hand bar. It should show all availible wireless connections. Then, right click on your network and click "Enable".

I hope that works, I have never connected a computer to a wireless network before, but those directions should work.

what type of router did u get? it should come with a step by step quick reference guide that will tell you exactly what to do.
