You are going to have to perform something pretty "technical" in that case...I hope you're ok with that?

You need to go to the laptop first...

1.Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

2.Right-click the network connection that you want to configure, and then click Properties.

3.On the General tab (for a local area connection), or the Networking tab (for all other connections), click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and then click Properties.

4. Type in the following into the IP address box: 192.168.123.253. Leave the other boxes blank and click on ok.

Now type that address in the browser that I gave you before. I take it that you're not using the laptop to view this site at the moment?

No I'm not using the laptop, am on the desktop.

We just tried everything you said above and it didn't work. Thanks for all your help so far. Any other ideas?

Yes it's still set up, but am not able to use it, the laptop is connected to the internet using a network cable.

Ahhh...now that helps.

Ok, try this. Connect the network cable to the router (the LAN port) see picture:



..when it's connected try my suggestion from before again.
