Default HELP: Urgent, wireless nightware

Hi

I've just bought a wireless router and adapters for a my laptop and desktop (broadband without wires basically.) Ive got the laptop running good of but the desktop is giving me a massive headache. I managed to get it to recognise the router and it said excellent signal and connectivity but i couldnt access the interent either through mozilla or IE. I also couldnt access limewire, bitlord etc. Eventually i did manage to get them to work but now they wont because it says connectivity either too low or non existant. Connection the laptop however is perfect. Any ideas, need help ASAP please.

Thanx

Ryan

First, can you look at these:
http://www.pchelpforum.com/wireless-...s-adaptor.html

Then please tell us:

Windows version (service pack info too)
Wireless router make and model number
If you are using WEP or WPA encryption

would seem problems are still afoot. msn still wont open, i reinstalled firefox (got IE, however thats not perfect, crashes on alot of pages) now once its open pages wont load, norton anti virus cannot perform a live update now and im sure theres more problems that i just cant think of the top of my head (using mums laptop thats why im able to write this.) The reason i blame wireless on this is simple, before wireless i had none of these problems.

Ryan

p.s. using windows xp sp2

p.s.s. what is even more weird is this laptop im on now had wireless put in at the same time and its had no problems!

Did you set-up a normal home network or a Wireless network? There's a difference between the two.

Hey Guys,

Redryan, it doesn't sound like a wireless issue, it sounds like you have gotten infected with something.

Can you please run the PreWork information from my sig. and post a log back here so we can see what's going on.

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW
