Default Freakin keep loosin connect

Hey guys i got a wireless router because my dad need it for he can put his pc downstrairs and it sucks soo far because i keep loosen connection can not keep no connection. How can i get better connection and keep it? I have a wireless router it is a Belkin wireless G router-----2.4Ghz-802-11g

The Router has a "chip" on its motherboard (firmware) and every so often they (like most companies) improve the features and details held on that chip. It pays to keep the "firmware" updated regularly.
