Default [Answered] Wireless adapter works fine...but I can't repair it....

I have a Linksys wireless adapter on my computer. it works fine, but if I try to repair it, it says it cannot disable the adapter for some reason. If I try to disable it, it says "it is not possible to disable the connection at this time...etc" or "make sure your adapter is properly installed". I figured maybe something was running preventing it from disabling it, but that messagecomes up always, even after a reboot. I also reinstalled the software for it. I can't fix it. I've only had this problem since I started using Linksys Wirelss Game Adapter on my XBOX. Could that have anything to do with it? The XBOX Adapter is unplugged though.....so there shouldn't be a problem.

One more thing. The XBOX Adapter's signal is very low. I think it is because the adapter is on the second floor and the router is on the first floor. Is there any way I can increase the signal strength (besides rearranging everything lol)

I hope I'm being clear...it's dfficult to type out specific problems lol.

If the connection can't be repaired most probably causes are:
-weak signal strenght
-Security settings on your wireless access point. (Blocking of MAC address)

Can you check these?
