i am not getting a very strong signal from my router which is located with my main desktop in the basement. i'm planning on purchasing a new wireless network card for my laptop. would this solve the problem or is it the router itself? if its the card, could anyone recommend a card thats not too expensive and has excellent range? thank you. from the router to the room where the lap top is stored is about 100 or so feet

Please can you tell us what router model and make and also the card, you have at the moment?

i just set-up the network so i'm borrowing a Sakar M04617 Wi-Fi USB adapter at the moment, so I have to get a new card for sure. the router is a hawking 54g wireless router.
