Default Ok Does This Seem Feasible?

Ok so i have a wired router in my cellar, from the uplink of this i stick a wire leading up one floor to a wireless gateway a Linksys WAP54G 54Mbps Wireless-G Access Point (NW-001-LS), from there this will send a signal to my pc 2 floors higher. Will that gateway work with my cable connection and normal wired router a Linksys BEFSR41? I think that gateway shud send a good strong signal, perhaps 100metres etc, can i get a confirmation of this and/or a suggestion of a better gateway for me?

thanks v much in advance, your advice will lead to purchase of the gatway asap

Get one from a store where you can return it in 14 days or whatever - try it and keep it if it works. Unless your house is built of concrete it should be fine BUT test it first, you don't want to waste your money bud

i decided to go with a slightly better one, for a start i chose a router instead of a gateway and the router has a built in speedbooster. Its basically the next linksys router down from the very top 2, but the top 2 costs over 100 pounds where as this one only cost 60Linksys

WRT54GS Wireless-G SpeedBooster Broadband Router/4-Port Switch (NW-006-LS) (is the router i got)

thoughts opinions ideas etc all welcome
