Default [Resolved] All files corrupting on internet file transfers (DESPERATE!!)
:-(

For the love of god please help.

All files that I send and then download over the net get corrupt.

Examples:

FTP upload, then the downloaded file is corrupt (.jpg, .wav, .mov, .max)
It's not the FTP software because I sent an image thru hotmail and that got corrupt
All files sent through outlook express get practically destroyed.

Other people's files and generaly downloads from the net are fine.

Please help ASAP as I work from home and have had to halt work completely.

Do the following:

1) Get a clean image (i.e. Not corrupted)
2) Save it to a completely new folder in a completely new directory on your PC
3) Reply to this post and attach it

Just a quick idea -

1) have you got the right/latest drivers for your graphics card?
2) Is your motherboard driver up to date?
3) Tell me more about your wireless LAN...could be the problem. Hey, why not try the same test BUT hard- wire your PC to the Wireless Router instead of using the Wireless link.

...I am interested to know the results of the last test....

well....*looks around* it seems to be bettered somehow.

I say somehow, what I did was run a full spyware scan and antivirus scan. Deleted
all the spyware of my computer (not much that seemed dangerous I must add)

Then my house mate turned the router on and off.

Everything works fine now, so I don't know if it was one or the other. If it comes
back it's sure to be the network. Hope it bloody doesn't tho!

That's great news...could have been that you were somehow dropping "packets" on the wireless connection. The only way you would notice small packet loss in your case was thru the graphics glitches as you pointed out. I am pleased that u can get back to work now

Don't forget PCHF and maybe you could recommend the site to others?
