Hi ballstine69,

Welcome to PCHF, sorry for the delay in posting here.

You have quite an unique problem here. Normally this would be difficult with two partitions with NTFS or FAT32. At least these can see each other!

Acronis is the only partitioning software that I'm aware of that can resize your windows partition without losing any data, but you may need to sacrifice your fedora install.

cheers im a bit confused thogh wen i run this program i have 4 partitions

1. ntsf wich total size is 30 and 23.6 free.
2.none wich is were linix is and for some reason there no free space all 40gig have been used up.
3. recovery total size 4.3 used 1.9
4. ext 3

my confusion lays with partion 2 i mean i asume the first one is windows as the second is linx but why is the second 1 completly full. surley linix dosent take this much room up.

Hi ballstine69, no, Acronis shouldn't be able to see what data is on the Fedora (LINUX) partition. I would have been very suprised if it did, therefore it won't be able to show you how much free space is available. That's why i mentioned that you may need to sacrifice your Fedora partition in order to resize. Partition 1, is your Windows (NTFS) partition.
