Exclamation Fast double click issues

Ive been having some issues with mouse lately. Im not sure if this the mouse's fault, or the OS's. Sometimes I want to click once, but the PC thinks I double-clicked. This makes using my PC really hard, since sometimes I want to move a file, from one spot to another, and if I try clicking it once so i move it, it doubles click the file and it opens.

Please im going nuts. I cant even play TF2...

More than likely I'd have to say the button on the mouse is probably shot and it's time to get a new mouse. Before doing that though, go to control panel=>mouse and there will be a double click speed setting. Try moving the slider towards towards the slow setting and see if that will make a difference.

If you use Win XP, Microsoft's Tweak UI will fix this problem.

Download it from here, it's about half way down the page.

After you install it, run the program and go to the Explorer tab, and in the right hand pane scroll down to Detect Accidental Double Clicks and make sure the box is ticked...
