Default Computer wont start GRUB problem HELP!!!

Hi there, I have an ASUS P5KPL-CM computer and im having a huge problem. It wont start at all when I turn it on. Every time it gives me an error saying:

GRUB Loading Stage1.5ReadError

And then it just stays on that screen. If I try and restart it maybe after 10 or 15 restart attempts it occasionally gets past that part and goes to another error as follows:

GRUB Loading Stage1.5.

GRUB Loading....
Error17

Then it just freezes there.
Now I know GRUB is used for multi booting different operating systems and as far as im concerned I don't have multiple operating systems apart from Windows XP.

I really need help as I cannot access the computer at all and have to use my laptop!

Hello Dimmer

Welcome to PC Help Forum

Grub is usually associated with Linux are you sure no one has installed that at some stage?

Ok right click on My Computer and click Properties.

Click the Advanced Tab and then click the Startup and Recovery box.

In the System Startup click Edit.

Copy what that says back here.
