How much free space do you have on the hard drive? Most games need at least 5GB of free space.

To check how much you have click Start > My Computer

Right click your hard drive and choose Properties

You can set the Virtual Memory to System Managed if you think it will help.

However, if the VM setting hasn't changed then that probably isn't the problem. Have there been any hardware or software changes recently? eg a new graphics card or a new application installed.

Also have you done scans for viruses/malware?
