hey guys, please help! i have two issues, which may or may not be connected. lately, my gateway laptop has been running slowly, for example, mousing over a link takes a second or two to have the mouse icon change. i've run a disk check,and just defragmented as well, but to no improvement.

secondly, all embedded internet videos constantly skip. at first it was just the video, every few seconds it was freeze while the audio kept running. but now, the audio and video freeze every 3 seconds. i've tried several websites, and it seems to happen on all internet videos.

Can you tell us how many services/processes are running in Task Manager?

Also, for the videos, see if turning off video hardware accelleration helps...

THAT totaly fixd the video problem! and i only have two programs running in the task manager. rocketdock and firefox. i ran malware bytes too, no problems there.

i've been having an additional really weird problem, every once in a while my mouse starts acting all strange. the pad i mean, on the laptop. any ideas for that? it won't let me move it correctly, and jumps around when i let my finger off of it. spooky!
