right here it is My fathers comp is near Death erm

it gets to the xp welcome screen and then it stops n reboots safe mode is fine both command prompt and networking so i dont want to give up yet i done a virus scan in safe mode it found 10 all sorts worms and trojans all quarantined its xp sp3 itsa old office pc a dell GX270 any ideas Ladys and gentlemen and i did try system restore but still no progress. if you need any more info then please just ask!. thank you

I think your best bet would be to back up any files you want to keep from the hard drive, then format it and reinstall Windows. In my experience, it's the only guaranteed way to clear an infection, especially a bad one.

I'm sorry, Robjvan - but I've got to echo Samuria's suggestion of running through PreWork and permitting the staff in the PCHF Security Team to give the "all clear".
