hi jmarket,it does continuos short beeps with a NO SIGNAL on the monitor,we just also changed the monitor to tower lead but no change ..........

Just a thought, when you did your rebuilding did you pull the power connectors from the mother board? If you did, did you remember to put the cpu power connector back in? It's connector is square (or cube) looking with 4 pins and usually connects to the motherboard near the cpu although some I've seen connect next to the 20 pin connector.

jmarket,i very much appreciate your trouble with this pc,it was only got for the kids to plays slot games on,so if nothing works it is not a major loss as you will gather by it`s speed it is a pretty old machine,we will fiddle over the weekend if nothing improves,it will finish up at the tip,thanks again...

hi guys,we found out that the cpu was the problem,as i said it was no major loss,it is in the rubbish now,thanks again for all your suggestions & help
