Default display last username via command line

I am trying to run a batch file at the end of the logon process which will automatically set "Do not display last username in logon screen" to DISABLE. I know how to do this via gpedit.msc, but would like to make it automatic using a command line in a batch file.

Can this be done? Using command lines to change group policy settings?

Any help appreciated.

Yep you can do that
You can set up the Do not display last user name by modifying one setting in your registry. Open the Registry Editor by going to your Start menu, clicking Run, typing regedit and hitting ENTER. Then locate the following registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\System
Change the value of the dontdisplaylastusername keyword to 1

export the reg key as a file and save it then run it in your batch file like so
regedit.exe /s regfile.reg
