yesterday my welcome page on start up disappeared and I was met with the "classic" entry start and request for password.
Entering password takes me direct to desktop. But I would like my WELCOME page back?
I checked control panel to ensure welcome page and fast switch selected which it is.......
I then tried RUN:: control passwords2
this almost completely knackered the PC it was only by pure chance I managed to retrieve my system.
restore does not achieve anything, and attempting to start at "last best known configuration" has no affect?
Advice on how to restore welcome page and get rid of classic start would be appreciated.
PC also closes with classic page and not normal as before?

Followed all instructions:Message appeared "default Gina in use.DLL in use MSGINA>DLL (standard);Exit So that side of things would appear to be OK.What I fail to understand is why it has suddenly began to occur? Puttting in the Admin password is not a problem more of an inconvenience. Just do not know where Welcome screen has gone,or why I am now getting classic screen open and closing,or being asked for a password? Would like to get welcome screen back and proceed as before?? |
