I accidentally deleted a svchost process in task manager. The computer started to shut down and on rebooting none of the svchost processes were in task manager and the computer was only partially functional. svchost.exe is still found in the system 32 folder but I can't get it to do anything. How can I restore svchost.

Unfortunately I took the advice of someone about a month ago regarding a virus that may be hiding in system restore and I disable system restore. So I don't know if that will work. I will try it when I get home in an hour, I am at work right now. thanks
